How do I enroll in a Dangerous Goods course?
Individual or Business-to-Consumer (B2C) purchases
- Visit https://wisetechacademy.com to search for your course
- Click on the Explore button and select Dangerous Goods (Hazmat) from the top of the list of industry courses
- Click on the relevant course, then click on the blue Log In button
- Click on the link to Sign Up and follow the prompts to Create new account. If you are creating new accounts for other people, please ensure the name used in creating the account needs is the name of the person taking the course. Certificates of completion will be issued in the name of this person.
- If you are enrolling additional users, repeat the last step

When is my enrolment activated?
Once your enrolment is completed, either through a credit card payment (B2C) or through your domain administrator (B2B), you will receive an enrolment confirmation with details of how to login. Contact us if you still haven’t received your enrolment confirmation.
How do my staff access their courses?
Once your staff’s enrolment is completed through your domain administrator (B2B), you will receive an enrolment confirmation with details of how to login. Contact us if you still haven’t received your enrolment confirmation.
Are there limits to the number of staff we can enroll?
No, there are no limits on staff that an be enrolled via your domain administrator (B2B)
Can I view my staff’s training progress?
Yes. If you are enrolling your staff through a dedicated eLearning domain created for your business (B2B), then as domain administrator, you can view the enrolments, progress and completion certificates of your staff members.
What payment methods are available?
B2C purchases can be made using a credit card once the user account has been created.
B2B enrolments through a corporate domain are billed monthly in arrears based on course
Can I pay in installments?
No, we do not allow payment installments but a domain can be set up for ongoing training or a one-time credit card payment is available.
Where can I access an IATA to complete the course?
For access to the online IATA we have 3 options for either 7-day access, 30 days, or the full version.

Can I purchase a hard copy of the IATA?
Yes, we sell the physical IATA book. To purchase please email training@dgair.com.au
Where can I purchase the IMDG code?
If you or your company does not have a copy of the current IMDG Code, the IMO publishes a list of distributors on their website.

How do I access my course?
You can access your course from the below link, and enter your username and password
Are the courses recognised by airports globally?
All of our IATA/HAZMAT courses meet the requirements of ICAO and are globally recognised.
When can I take my course?
As the course is online and self-paced you can complete your course at any time.
How long do I have to complete the course?
For IATA/HAZMAT - A new edition of the IATA is released each year, you must complete your training in the year you have signed up, if training is not completed you will have to sign up to the current course.
IMDG – The IMDG code is released every 2 years, you have until the expiry of the current IMDG code to complete your training.Â
What happens if I am unsuccessful with an assessment?
Prior to completing an assessment, it will state the number of attempts that are permitted, if you have failed you have the option to review your incorrect answers and reattempt, there is also an option to book a time with a trainer.
If you are still unsuccessful and have reached the maximum attempts, your course will be locked. You will be prompted to book a time with a DG Trainer to discuss any areas of concern or alternatively you will need to contact dgtraining@wiseteacademy.com who will advise you of the next steps.
I’ve been unsuccessful 3 times and my course is locked, what do I do?
If you are still unsuccessful and have reached the maximum attempts, your course will be locked. You will be prompted to book a time with a DG Trainer to discuss any areas of concern or alternatively you will need to contact dgtraining@wiseteacademy.com who will advise you of the next steps. Once you have discussed with a trainer your course will be unlocked and you can reattempt.
Who do I contact if I need assistance with my course?

Do I need to complete the whole course in one sitting?
No, the course is self-pace, you can enter and leave the course as often as you like, and you will always be returned to the same point in the course where you left it. However, you will need to sit your assessments in one attempt for each subject.
Will I be notified when my certificate is due to expire?
If training was previously completed through WiseTech an automatic reminder will be sent when you are due to recertify.
Is there an assessment and will I receive a Certificate?
Yes, there is an assessment. Depending on the course you are undertaking this will either be to complete a Shipper’s Declaration/Multimodal Dangerous Goods Form or an Airline Acceptance Checklist. The mandatory score you need to complete varies from 80-90%. This pass mark is advised prior to completing the assessment.
How do I get my certificate?
After successfully completing the assessment, you'll be able to download and print your certificate.
To download and print your certificate, simply 'Log in'Â and navigate to your 'My learning'Â page and click the 'View certificate' link against the name of your course course.
How do I obtain a copy of a previously obtained certificate through DG Air?
Email training@dgair.com.au if you require a copy of a previously obtained a certificate through DG Air.
How long is my certificate valid for?
For IATA/HAZMAT your certificate is valid for 2 years from the month you have completed your training.
For IMDG the expiry will be the expiry of the edition of the IMDG code you have completed the training on. I/e 31st December 2023 the date the 2020 edition of the IMDG expires. For the 2022 edition this will expire 31st December 2025.
My certificate has expired, can I complete the recertification course?
If your certificate has expired you cannot complete the recertificate course and will need to complete the initial course.
I cannot obtain my current certificate; can I do the recertification course?
You will need to provide your current certificate to validate the expiry of your qualification, if training was previously done through DG Air, email training@dgair.com.au, if this was done elsewhere you will need to contact your previous training provider for a copy.
